If you would like to pursue a career which you regard as uncommon, you may have Rahu or Ketu influencing your sixth, tenth or eleventh house, because uncommon professions relate directly to these planets. Ashlesha may lead you to a career which does not conform to societal norms—for example, becoming a therapist without the necessary qualifications. With Bharani, you might do something never done before. With Shravana, you might connect people or places which have not been connected before, so people may find your profession highly unusual.

With Vishakha, you might go to extremes in chasing your goals, making the way you work highly uncommon. Shatabhisha can also make you push yourself to extremes and even fall prey to addictions, which others may find unusual. With Swati, a desire to keep moving on both mental and physical planes can produce an unsettled career. With Ardra, a love of wildlife may lead to an uncommon profession or path. The last three Nakshatras are ruled by Rahu, and I think Rahu's influence on career-related houses can lead to a highly uncommon profession.
